Equilibrium i.e. balance is a guide to success in every person’s life. It’s accompanied by life on the waves. It is often thorny, full of obstacles, pain and can bring us to our knees. But it is still joyful, full of surprises and, together with the good and the bad, above all, colorful. Life would not be life without fear, courage, stagnation, breakthrough, disappointment and hope. However, when we understand the meaning of patience, the door opens to a life that is complete precisely because of balance.
Equilibrium is also a constant balancing over the abyss, which is denoted by a big scary name – adulthood. “They are very young, what can they know about life?” These are also stigmas and labels with which they have to fight in order to be a full-fledged part of society. Can they do it? Can they face the pressures and expectations of their parents and society? Is it possible not to judge them before listening to them? They feel that in their search for balance they lack the support that would give them the motivation to integrate.

MOMENTUM Dance Team
Momentum Dance Team was founded in 2023 as an initiative of young experienced teachers and choreographers who love dance, movement, their students and are not afraid to try new things. They benefit from their lifelong experience, university studies in dance art, 8 years of teaching and choreographic experience, knowledge from foreign and local workshops, which they want to pass on with love. “We wanted to create a space for everyone who is looking for a contemporary and up-to-date aesthetic in dance, who is not afraid to experiment outside their comfort zone.”
The choreographers and teachers of the civic association Momentum Dance Team are Kristína Kordošová, Michaela Jurenková and Matúš Szeghö. In addition to successfully graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in the field of Dance, they have lifelong experience in dance education from various institutions (SEAD – Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, Jozef Adamovič Conservatory in Košice, Millennium Dance Complex Los Angeles , Playground LA…) and workshops with important dance personalities (Pál Frenák (HU), Joe Alegado (USA), Peter Jaško (SK/CA), Myra Woodruff (USA), Dollie Henry (UK), Jeremy Lepine (BE ), Esther Louise Balfe (AT), Sophie Billy (FR), Marina Krutovskaya (RF), Christine Ghiardi (USA) and many others). We also take advantage of several years of interpretive, performative and creative experience from the domestic and foreign scene (State Theater Košice, SND Bratislava, Nová Scéna Bratislava, DAB in Nitra, Seefestspiele Morbisch, Theater Akzent Wien, Moving Souls Bratislava, etc.). Currently, Kristína Kordošová is a modern dance teacher at Eva Jaczová Dance Conservatory in Bratislava and Michaela Jurenková is a classical and modern dance teacher at Dezider Kardoš Private Conservatory in Topoľčany. Matúš Szeghö is an interpreter and performer in independent dance and physical theater productions (Farma v jeskyni v Praha “Commander”, CreDance “LEPETIT – Malý Princ”…), he co-organizes the international multi-genre festival of dance and movement Tanečno, under the banner of which he is also a part author’s collective (performances “YOLT – You Only Live Twice”, “The Urge”, “Na Hlásku”…) and participates in movement collaboration in the upcoming theater productions “Pozsony Dance Club” (DPOH Bratislava) and “Povala” (DAB in Nitre). For the other 5 years, they worked together as teachers and choreographers at the elledanse dance school in Bratislava, where together we created more than 50 choreographies and participated in the movement component of the musical “Príbeh z lesa” and the dance performance “Dance Come Back 2”.
